Family Fun

The Macdonald's visited for a short while.... I had so much fun with Ali and Maleana. Maleana is now like a little person, it's unbelievable how inteligent she is. She counted up to 11 and sang me the ABC's, we played, ate, sang and collected seashells on the beach. We even made friends with Larry, the pet duck!
Maleana as a very cute personality. As you can see she is adorable and check how fashionable she is already! I should have known from the begining that she would be such a fashionista, since her first pair of denim was paper denim, which she got at oh about 1 day old.
Mason celebrated is birthday down here in Laguna. We had a BBQ at the bay! Drena cooked up a delicious meal; ribs, chicken, sausage, and so many yummy sides! We enjoyed a very tasty sweet treat, chocolate cake by Sandy. We even roasted marshmelows, thanks to Mason Lauren and I enjoyed the most perfectly roasted marshmelow.
The visit was short but packed with good times. We love you Mason, Ali and Maleana.

House Hunting

Nic and I enjoyed a very long day of house hunting. I must first say, as I am driving thru Dana Point to meet up with her, I am baffled and frightened by what I see. . . Too many police on motorcycles and in cars intermixed with an odd looking bus van type automoble amoung a few large blacked out subberbans windows down with men in suits holding guns driving thru Dana Point! Now these were not little hand guns but large automatice weapons! To say the least I was slightly scared as I sat at the corner in my Audi watching stare as they drove by ready to shoot at any second, so I get on the phone and start calling my sis and friends and of course no answers (why have cell phones if we do not answer them?). It was not until yesterday that I found out what all the hoopla was about, the President of Vietnam was in Laguna and apparently there was a little uproar over the whole situation. Any way, Nic found an adorable house and at the same time we found a date for Kelly! We continued to drive around one particular area about 4 times scopping out all the homes on the market. Apparently the guy in the really cute house saw us and was wondering why we continued to pass his residence. Needless to say, when he realized we were two hotties he had to chat with us. We of course let him know we were taken, but we have a friend for him - Kelly. So if you wonder why there is a photo of a random guy it's Manny, kell's future date. We enjoyed our day checking out many homes in hopes thats soon enough we will both have homes of our own.

Sisterly LOVE

I enjoyed another beautiful day at the beach, but it was better than usual because Katrina joined me! She officially on summer vaca! We ate lunch together on the sand, read our books, chatted and went for a stroll. I must say today was a hot day with not much of breeze, so we spent a lot of time playing in the water- the cool tempertures felt refreshing. Many of you are probably sick of all my close up shots, but thats how it goes when I am taking all the pics with my left arm.

Friendship

As most of you know, I enjoy spending time with friends. Derek has been a good friend for many years. I always enjoy chit chattin with him. He knows me very well and often gives me advice on life. Most of the time I think I just crack him up because of my sillyness and weirdness, he enjoys my entertainment. Here we are at the bank, I know random spot to take a photo... the lady thought we were cukoo talking about myspace and blogs all while opening a bank account and getting a loan. We entertained her for the day!

So Long, Farewell....

Through out the past year I have had the pleasure of assisting Katrina in her classroom. The kinders are so adorable! They always seem to have the most interesting things to say when I visit them. Some of the funny comments I have heard are: "she is so pretty I wish she was my sister", "she looks just like Ms. Meyer", "Why does she look the same as Ms.Meyer", "My turtle died", "You are like a princess Niccole" The students are very sweet and I have enjoyed seeing them mature thru the year. I even recieved a card from a student on the last day, it was a drawing of her and I (too cute!) I was sad to watch them all the school yard on their last day of kindergarten. I am looking forward to being a mom and attending every event at school. As katri said "you are going to be the PTA president"! I wouldnt go that far, but I sure am looking forward to raising our children. I will miss all the kinders! It so sad to think Katri will no longer be there :-(

Handsome Hubby

Many of you know Tim is abroad for awhile. I miss him tremendously and constantly find myself daydreaming of him. As you noticed there are not many pics of him on our blog (due to him being out of the country) so I thought I would dedicate this post to my ADORABLE husband. Everyday I feel so blessed to have Tim in my life. He is a wonderful husband, I love him dearly. Everytime I look at him I think to myself wow he sure is cute! He has beautiful eyes, rosy cheeks and amazing soft curly locs, I love everything about him. It seems that at least once a week when I am laying out his friends find me on the beach and each of them always having something kind to say about tim and most of them state "some of the fondest and funnest memories I have are with Tim". Sometimes I ask myself if this is really my life, I can not believe I am so fortunate to be married to such a loving person. I love you Timmy. XOXOXOO

La casa de Johnson

Today I spent the day with my in-laws. We had so much in Mexico! Our destination was Puerto Nuevo, for any of you lobster fans I bet you have been there. We enjoyed a great meal of fresh tortillas larger than ever with beans, rice and LOBSTER we just could not get enough of this yummy food and of course we downed way too many bowls of chips n salsa. This time around we were able to experience a new appitizer (compliments of the restaurant) smoked fish us girls were not too into it but Ed enjoyed it alot. The waiters at the restaurant had fun time playing jokes on us, they even brought out a mouse! We checked out some resort condos on the ocean, of course the views were amazing and we spotted dolphins. The shopping was awesome too! The entire time I kept day dreaming of Timmy, everything south of the border reminded me of him in some way, I miss him tremendously. I must say the most interesting event during the trip was an american at the border standing at our car for 5 minutes describing to us (thru closed windows) that his brother was in an accident and is now in jail in Mexico and he needs our money... dont worry we did not give any free handouts. It was sad to see the lifestyle of so many people across the border, I am once again so thankful to live in America - the land of opportunity. God Bless America.

We LOVE you Dad!

Father's Day Weekend has been so much fun this year! Festivities all weekend long... I had the opportunity to spend an evening with not only my parents but my aunt, uncle and cousins. We had a delicous meal at Houstons the fish was wonderful and although I am not a big artichoke dip fan the dip was very yummy. We all cleared our plates as well as downed the two free apitizers they delivered to our table (the wait was riduculous!) The restaurant has great food I recomend it as well as their sister restaurant Bandera (the corn bread is so so so yummy, try it out). Well, basically I just love love love food and can not get enough of it! As Katie says I have an eating disorder where I eat EVERYTHING! Thanks mom and dad for the great genes. It was unfortunate that Tim was not around to spend time with my fam, we just love being with them. My dad has given us so much advice about life, love and children. We are both anxious to get back to OC to be close to our families once again. As we were leaving the restaurant my dad pointed out this remodeled car, he actually used to have a car very similar to this... so I had to get a photo. My father is a car enthuist and my adorable hubby is following in his footsteps. I sure do love the men in my life. Happy Father's Day dad.

Babes at the Beach

Another great couple of days at the beach. Since returning for the summer it has been my little tradition to spend every Friday and Saturday at Three Arch with the girls. On Fridays usually it is just Kisa and I and occasionally we are privelaged to be accompanied by some of our other girlfriends. Today Kel joined us from HB (she is still as skinny as ever but would not allow us to take photos). Of course we had a great time talking about Kisa's single - kinda dating life and Kel's wedding plans (her wedding is less than one month away!!) On Saturdays Nic comes down from CDM and we laugh over all the funny stories from her friday nights out on the town! Kelly finally made it down to hang out on Saturday, she usually is still in bed when Nic and I are hanging out. When I'm with the girls it seems we never have a dull moment and we always have something to talk about. I am having such a wonderful time being in the same county as all my girlfriends. I have missed them all tremendoulsy while being away. I really do love all my great friends!

What a night...

So, I just returned home from a lovely dinner with Nic. We dinned at our past - time favorite casual eatery in Laguna, Coyote Grill. While enjoying our delicious meal complete with a favorite desert of mine we took in the Sunset and giggled over our "girl talk" and chit chatted about homes while perusing The Dream magazine filled with multi million dollar homes in South OC; I found the house that fits our budget it's only 19,000,000 and is complete with a car musuem (both our dad's will LOVE it and of course Tim will fill the museam with all his favorite sports cars)!
Nic's a busy girl and had be on her merry way, I headed home (well I'm house sitting) to find a not so fun surprise. The freezer broke! Are you a fan of raw meat and chicken juice, melted ben n jerrys, moooshy peas, etc? Well we all know I LOVE food, but this was udderly repulsive. Thank goodness for Tessa! Together we emptied the entire contents of the freezer into 4 large trash bags, yes I said 4! They were incredibly heavy and we are sure the neighbors are going to be questioning us come Sunday when they cannot figure out why the smell of blood and raw flesh is permeating the neighborhood in this warm weather. The trash cans were so full they do not close all the way... uh ohh stay away from Three Arch till next week!
All in all it was another fun day in Laguna.

Lovely Lilac

Mom and I went for a little shopping trip to Crate N Barrel, They are having a SALE! I picked up some really cute stuff which will look great in our future home. I can not seem to decide which purchase is my favorite?? The lilac cake stand or the lilac flower bowls... both so cute and they will go fabulous with my shabby mis-matched pastel collection of plates, bowls, and cake stands. I am anxious for the day we have our own little shack decorated by none other than ME! I had eyed these frames previously and what do you know? They were on sale today! I love a good bargain. I also found some great glass vases which look classic yet beachy. Best of all I used Gift Cards from our reception!

Love of My Life!

Timmy and I often have the opportunity to I Chat. Technology is AMAZING! Here is my very handsome hubby on the I Chat. And here I am emailing him from my new cell. We get to talk everyday even though he is half way around the globe. I love you bu buu. xoxox

Another Beautiful Day in Three Arch. . .

I just can not seem to get enough of the beach these days! I snapped a quick photo while heading down to La Playa while speaking with Timmy on the phone (he's in Espana for a while). I feel so fortunate to be so close to the ocean and take in all the beauty that surounds the ocean.

Rendevoux with an old friend

So I had the opportunity to meet up with a friend I have not seen in over a year. Emily and I met a few yeargs ago when I lived with the Nicoll's, she wasn't a big fan of me when she first met me but over time we got along great! She is a cute girl with a lot of ambition and goals, I admire her for all that she has done thus far. We have kept in contact over the years and finally met up this week. Emily brought her daughter Kayla (who is so adorable) and met me at PF Changs, we enjoyed a yummy bit to eat while we chit chatted for a couple hours and walked around the mall (dont worry honey I didnt spend too much $). P.S. Boys she's SINGLE!

I love Paradise!

Being away from the wonderful OC has helped me to once again realize how blessed we are to live near the ocean and in general live in Orange County. We are so fortunate to be here for the summer and love love love it here! Thought I would post photos of our favorite hang out...

Off to Balboa for a BBQ!

I got to see Jen my adorable friend from the singles ward at her sweet house in Balboa last night. She had about 40 peeps over for a bbq and some mingling. I ran into some old hommies from the SC ward it was so fun to o catch up with everyone and meet some new peeps too! Joe and Britt met up with me and we carpooled up to Balboa to meet up with Britt's bro Colin (he's single ladies and he's a hottie!) and Jen. It's nice to get out and mingle while the hubby is away.

Grand Slam. . . What's That?

Nic got free tickets to the Angels game so us girls headed to the field. Although we are not too sporty we had a ton of fun and laughs! I am pretty sure all the die hard season ticket holder fans next to us were totally annoyed by us; who knew you're supposed to sit in your chair and watch the game the entire time? We found talking on our cells and posing for photos more entertaining than the too tight legging wearing men on the field. Kell had us in the Angel store shopping for over two innings or quarters whatever they are so we had fun trying on random baseball crap. Oh and we missed the grand slam!

Welcome to our blog!

I decided to start a new blog since our smallandtall website is overloaded with many of Tim's great photos from his travels in Espana. Since we are often far away from those we love this is a good way to keep up to date on all our fun and not so fun times in Utah.
