We are looking to grow our family...

Through ADOPTION! We are excited and anxious for the wonderful adventure we have been through and continue go through. Our little Thor has been such a sweet blessings for us both and I have found a new soft spot in my heart for animals, but it is time to continue on in growing our little family. We can hardly wait for the day we can bring our baby home! Adoption has changed so much since the year my mother was adopted, it is very difficult to get placed with a child. Our agency has informed of us of there being a lack of children to be placed in homes at this time. Sadly, for us we can not afford to work with other agencies that are out there & can place us with a child. We have worked so hard saving our money knowing this is what the future had for us, now we just hope we can find a baby. We ask that our blog readers help us spread the word about us to all their friends & family. You can view our facebook page & group... Help Timmy and Niccole get a baby or you can find us on itsaboutlove.org. Thank you.

flashback...

Saw Eclipse tonight my thoughts drifted back to the night we got engaged. The weather that evening was strange, to this day I have never seen the clouds like they were the night timmy got down on his knee to ask me to spent the rest of time with him. The reflection off the deep dark ocean was intense. The wind was blowing and I of course was chilly so Timmy sat in the back of the pick up truck eating alone watching the ocean while I sat inside the truck to warm up. It was June and it probably was not that cold but to me it was cold!

got it!

Can not believe how amazing technology is! It is hard believe that I did not have a cell phone until the middle of College... now days 2 year olds know how to work iphones! It is really amazing to be able to make a phone call from my cell phone and see the person who I am talking to. History in the making... which is why I document these type of things on our blog.

3rd street promenade & venice beach

chicago

Michigan Ave. Congress Plaza Hotel

Chicago won the Stanley Cup. Lots of Hockey items all over the city.

Unique market in Lincoln Park. Gluten free products.

The trip was way too short. There were so many different neighborhoods I needed to visit and not nearly enough time. While in Chicago I was doing market & trend research; people watching, shopping, checking out colors, patterns, materials, window displays and the overall fashion scene in Chicago. I took the subway to lincoln park and lakeview... that was an adventure got lost and had to take 4 subways! I enjoyed this area, it is hip & clean and the homes are adorable. I could have spent an entire day just these two neighborhoods walking up and down all the streets. In the afternoon I headed to wicker park. I loved the shopping over here! Unfortunately by the time I arrived I only had 1 hour to check out the shops before they closed. The street is lined with many vintage, thrift, and boutique shops intermixed with random cafes. I was so sad I could not visit the vintage shops (tear). Next time I will plan to visit this area for an entire day! It is very trendy and young cool people live around here. I spent my last day on michigan ave and state street walking the streets and checking out displays. Chicago is such a fun city! I loved the chicagans... so friendly and the food was so yummy! Found a great market with gluten free products and loved the gluten free italian eatery in wicker park.

Memorial Day

Today we reflect on how privileged we are to live in the United States of America. We feel much love and respect for the many Men and Women who have faithfully served in honor of this great nation to protect us and keep our land safe. Enjoy this day with loved ones, we sure will be!

Spent a week in Lost Pines Texas (outside of Austin) for a company sales meeting. Loved the resort and the area... so green and beautiful. I spent a ton of time working and hanging out will all my coworkers. I enjoyed walking on the dock of the Colorado River, seeing the Texas Longhorn Cows, floating on the lazy river at the resort, dancing, and eating lots and lots of meat and beans.
The live country band... I could not stop dancing! My coworkers could not believe I was a dancing machine. At the end of the night who was the one chanting for the band to keep playing... ME!
Some of the young crew: Jen, Jeff, Katie, Lauren, Sara, Me, Anthony. We all sang and danced all night long.
Eating meat and lots of it! Nic and Bee.
This resort is a great spot for a family vacation. They have activities all day long for both adults and kids. And it is beautiful... but bring your bug spray... there are a ton of bugs!

This year Katri and I decided to take mom to Tanaka Farms on their Organic Cookout Tour. We had so much fun! Eating straight from the dirt, learning about gardening, being introduced to new veggies. The food was delicious. Now all I need is a yard so I can begin my garden.

Palm Springs

About a month ago I headed to the desert to celebrate Nic's Birthday. Stopped by the outlets on the way into town....so much good stuff! Wish I could have spent all day shopping. Lounged by the pool enjoying the warm weather since it has been cool around here lately. I discovered the best sushi mom n pop shop, it was amazing! Tried a date shake for the 1st time, wow dates are super sweet. Hoping I can do another girls trip soon.

The Murder City Devils

It's not everyday that you get the opportunity to shoot your favorite band of all time. Especially a band that hasn't really been together since 2001. Here are some pics from that epic night in Hollywood. More pics and a show review can be found here:

Tulum

We went to Tulum a few weeks ago and had a blast. It was extremely relaxing, the food was amazing, and the Mayan ruins were unreal. We had always wanted to go down there and just decided to go since we had been talking about it for so long.
