MOOSE Crossing!

Yes this is an actual real life moose on the freeway!!! This evening we drove to Park City to do some shopping. The drive was beautiful, snow on the pine trees, all the trees have just started to turn a burnt orange, clear blue skys, and a moose on the freeway! We we were in awe this was amazing one of the coolest things I have seen. He was just walking down the freeway like it was no big deal. He was huge with super large antlers (he was the size of a small car!). Unfortunantly my photo is not very good, I was yapping on the phone when OOH MY WORD I spotted him on the road so, I had to drop my phone, grab my bag, dig for my camera all while Tim is going 70 mph past the poor moose. I really wish you all could have seen him! This is just another thing that makes me love Utah. Nature is breathtaking.

Special Day!

Just wanted to give a shout out to a few friends who came to spend the day with us Sunday in celebration of my hubby. We love you guys and always seem to have a blast hanging out and laughing! Thank you for coming up to see us, we had A TON of fun!

more fun...

all weekend long was just fun fun fun! Attending the skate contest, the motox contest, free yummy food, watching the pros go crazy on the vert ramp, free massages, great food at delicious restaurants, time with friends, and lots of shopping! I am really starting to LOVE Utah. We discovered some new restaurants with Anthony and Fabreez, come back any time boys and we will eat Bombay! Here are some random photos...

Shop till you drop!

Is exactly what I have been doing for the past two days. Since I have just accepted a new job which requires me to wear all black for the upcoming Trade Show I needed new outfits. For those of you who know me, you know I hardly ever wear black. The reason I think I never wear black is because it does not suit my personality. Anyhow Tim gave me the go ahead to buy new outfits which is just what I did!! A new handbag, a few pairs of shoes, a couple pairs of pants, a skirt, some dresses, two jackets, and two armloads of blouses and shirts. We also purchased a coffee table from Abode - a favorite shop of mine. Wish me luck this week!!

Fabreez

So I got a random phone call yesterday, it was Fabrizio and he was at the airport in SLC. We headed over to pick him and his skate crew up. They are all in town for the action sports dew tour. We watched the vert and street skaters practice yesterday, hung out in the vip lounge and have backstage passes for the weekend. We dined at a favortie eatery... Costa Vida and the boys played SKATE most of the night. I hope we get to eat Brazilian food with fabreez this weekend! I will post more photos as I get them. Good Luck Fabrizio!!
On a side note, Ryan's show was being filmed on the street course and the whole thing is scripted... reality tv is soooo lame!

HOME

We were fortunate to be able to house sit in Laguna for the past 5 days. Of course we had so much fun in the warm weather, eating at a few of our favorite spots and spending time with Katri. The weather was perfect; warm and sunny, the ocean was clear as ever but chilly and the waves were decent! Here are a few random shots ( I did not take many pics while home). We hope to head back home very soon, maybe for my birthday!!

Special Treat...

Baby Sadie came for a visit this week! We were fortunate to spend time with Jules n Russell twice in one week! They came down to buy a new toy at the Apple Store. Sadie is a great baby she just chills while we do our thing. We had fun with them and look forward to the last year of BYU volleyball games with them.

Such a busy week!

The week is flying by! I have not had enough time to update the blog this week, with interview after interview each day I have been consumed by finding a job. I am hoping to be employed in the near future! I discovered another great furniture store this week; C.G. SPARKS. They have a great selection of trunks, shelves and random mirrors and lanterns. I fell in love with a couple trunks in vibrant aqua-blue shades. I look forward to the day we have a home I can decorate. I love decorating! I also attended the Street Fair in the Avenues (a great area in slc with the most adorable houses up and down each street). If I had to live in Utah for good I would want a home in the Avenues as well as Park City. I snapped a couple picks while walking to the fair. Britt another place we must check out when you come for your next visit.

Weenie Boats

Pretty much every Sunday evening we enjoy dinner with Jo. Tonight we tried a new recipe! Weenie boats. Okay it may look and sound disgusting but they are actually yummy (that is, if you can stand a hot dog!). They are very simple to make; take a hot diggity dog slice it in half long ways, then top with mashed potatoes and sprinkle cheddar cheese on top. So easy and the kiddos will love em!

P TOWN

We had an eventful evening in Provo yesterday. Seeing Steve and Jessie married was a trip!! The boys skated while the girls chilled, the sun was so warm it felt great. After the skate session we headed across the street to Jules and Russell's house. We ate yummy pizza from CPK and hung out all night laughing and chit chattin. We always enjoy being around friends!

Carni Time!

The Utah State Fair was taking place not to far from us so we headed over with Ambs, Baby Andy and Kent. I can not decide which was better; the entertainment we got from people watching or the yummy fried, fatty, greasy, expensive carni food? Do you have any favorite carni foods?
Andy enjoyed petting the animals but was scared by the loud noises the creepy roller coasters made. The boys talked music all evening long, while Ambs and I discussed random issues. We had fun laughing all evening! Did I mention it costs the two of us a total of $4 to get in? All our money was spent on the food! My belly still aches.

In my ELEMENTE. . .

I discovered a hidden store the other day! Elemente is filled with vintage and antique home goods. I found many great pieces that would look fabulous in our home. Many of the pieces throughout the store were in pretty good shape (being that they were old and all). Britt we will check it out next time you are here.

Artsy fartsy

Continueing with my explorations of Utah we visited the Utah Museum of Fine Art. Being that today was a rather gloomy day and we had already visited the Rack with Jeff getting a bit rain soaked an inside activity was sounding rather good. The artifacts from ancient pasts were eye catching. The hand beaded Indian works were a favorite along side the pop- up art work of Robert Sabuda.

New Blogger

I told myself I wouldn't ever post up on our blog, but there is a first time for everything. I have been easing into Utah life and have been keeping myself busy with skateboarding and school. I went up to Park City this weekend to skate and shoot some photo's. Here are a few from the weekend.

Can you keep a Secret?

I had been wanting to go on a hike expolring what the mountains of Utah have to offer. Not much was going on Monday so Jo, Ambs (and baby Andy) and I thought we would go on an adventure! We embarked on what was thought to be a short somewhat fast hike to Cecret Lake (pronounced Secret). The drive thru the canyon was gorgeous, the hike was a sweaty workout, the mountain air was refreshing. We made it to the top! Thanks to Jo carrying Andy on her shoulders up the steep slate rock. The water was chilly and we saw some tiny fish. We had a fun time!

Stroll thru the City

In an attempt to find an open restaurant for lunch in the heart of downtown much walking was required. The warm 100 degree tempetures kept us going at a nice pace. I snapped a few random photos as we strolled all around town. I enjoyed the old buildings, windows and signs in the city.
