this is me...

Some of you may have been wondering why it looks like our life has slowed and we are not doing something everyday and everynight?  Well it's official, I got a job, I am fully employed, and totally enjoying it. I am a Product Marketing Coordinator of an International shoe company for two of their lines. You may wonder what I do? So far, I have looked at lots of shoe samples, had an all night video conference with Asia and Europe, reviewed shoe samples, named shoes for upcoming collections, researched via Internet sites and magazines, and small projects here and there. In the short time I have been working with shoes I am already wanting to design shoes, it is just so fun to come up with creative ideas. I showed up to work the first day and could not even locate my desk because it was covered from floor to about six feet high with shoes, shoes and more shoes! No worries because we all know how anal I am about organizing and cleaning so I got right to it. Although I have been busy working we still head out almost every night to dinner, the  beach, or of course Yogurtland with friends ( I just have not been photoging all the outings).
p.s. It looks like there will be a sample sale within the next few months so I will let you know details if you are interested.

First birthday cake

Jake the snake

The partying was non-stop last weekend. Sunday we celebrated Izzy's First Birthday, Dad's Birthday and Bria's Birthday. Izzy's party was a big Italian feast with lots of yummy homemade dishes. We had a fun time watching all the children interact with one another and jump in the bounce house. I really enjoy seeing how much the little ones grow and change over such a short period of time! Jake is such a little crack up, he calls him mom Katie instead of Mom and he is only two. The cake was adorable but Izzy sure was not enjoying it! She did not understand what was going on and she absolutely hates getting dirty so she would not even touch the thing.

We left party early to head straight to another double birthday celebration at my parents house. Dad grilled up some Fish on the BBQ and we enjoyed the evening with my family. Bria is almost an adult, its pretty crazy how fast those past 15 years have gone by.  She is taller than me and just a little bigger than me, I can hardly believe she is so grown up. We are absolutely loving the amount of time we are able to spend with my family and all of our friends. I could not be happier to be back home!

Could the weather be any better?

Seriously I am LOVING this heat wave! I would be in  high heaven if the weather was this perfect everyday, waking up to  75 degree weather at 8:30 makes for a fantastic day of bikinis, beach, and shorts at night! We enjoyed the perfect weather at the bay following Naomi's birthday party. Jules, Sophia, Evan, Chels, Kirk, Tess and Brendon all joined us for an afternoon of reading, sun bathing, surfing, and sand digging at the bay. I just can not get enough of this weather. I LOVE that is  9pm and 74 degrees.  Why can't everyday be this beautiful and warm?

And the Birthday Parties Continue...

Love birds

This weekend was filled with party after party and the weather was amazingly warm for all the outdoor events. Chrissy hosted a fun pool party for Naomi's  first birthday.  It is a strange feeling to be going to so many of our friends children's birthdays and being some of the only peeps with out any children, but we always have a blast. Naomi looked adorable as always and have fun playing and swimming with everyone. We just adore her and her mellow happy personality.  Britt and Owen ventured out of the house... and I loved holding him and checking out his tiny features, he is precious.  We had such a fun day at the pool with some great friends.

Happy Birthday Chelsea

Eating some yogurt with the Baby snatchers

A few of us celebrated with the Birthday girl at Albertacos and Cherry on Top. We always enjoy eating yummy Mexican food followed by frozen yogurt. Chelsea and I like to eat, shop, hike and watch our hotties surf.  Needless to say I have enjoyed having them living so close to us! Happy Birthday Girl!

Tim and Gregg loved the potstickers!

yummy asian chips

Love that Hello Kitty is everywhere!

Chinese culture and Yogurtland.  Michelle and Greg  introduced us to the best yogurt I have ever had. The surrounding Asian stores and Restaurants make the trip even more enjoyable. We hit up Yogurtland and the restaurants twice these past few days with Michelle and Greg, Chrissy and Luke, and Jules. Tim is now a fan of bobba drinks and timbulyan.  Some spots worth checking out ... Kitty House which is filled with random hello kitty trinkets reminding me of elementary school and my obsession with hello kitty and friends.
Ranch 99 Market has many authentic Asian food items, some of which are tasty! I am loving the hello panda cookies and Tim enjoys the fruity candies.  I found some great soap as well that smells delightful and is packaged so cute.
I am excited to say Yogurtland is coming to laguna hills, mission viejo, and santa margarita. But I think we will be visiting the Irvine store most often for the entertainment found around the shopping centers.

NKOTB

All of you who are pushing 30 like me know what this stands for. . . NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK! Apparently they are making a come back. I sure hope they tour in LA so I can go sing along to all those great hits and maybe even wear an old tee with their faces on it. I'm pretty sure I still know all the songs and have some of their old beach towels at my parents house. Katri and I were obsessed with these guys. Jon was my favorite, who was your crush? Do they look as good as you would have expected?
