A glimpse into our life. A handsome surf loving & photographer enthusiast Dad. A jewelry making Momma. A beautiful curly haired curious Babe. A tiny Pup. This is us. Hoping to once again grow our little family through adoption. Please help spread the word to your friends & family.

A favorite
Spot of mine. Since being in SLC I have often visited Temple Square. I enjoy feeling the peace, people watching, talking to people from around the globe, watching movies, and smelling the beautiful flowers all around.
The Village People...
The girls enjoyed one last day with Brit at Gardener's Village. What a cute little area, all the shops are old homes converted into stores. We found some fun goods for our homes and enjoyed fresh baked treats from the old bakery. Brit I am already missing you.
FRESH
Jo introduced me to a great little market, Liberty Heights Fresh. They offer a variety of imported products as well many fresh local products. The fruit looked juicy, the cheeses looked delicious and the soda's were refreshing. What a fun little grocery store!

One last summer concert...
Just in time to catch the last concert in the park. And it sure was entertaining! The people watching was amazing from the dancing to the outfits people were sporting - I was impressed with the fashion I saw all over the place! This guy in front of us was really feeling the music, he was in his own world dancing away non-stop while not even noticing that everyone was watching him and photographing him! The music was great and so was the company.
Exploring the City
Before moving back I had told myself I was going to get to know the city this year. There are actually a lot of interesting places to see and visit around here and I want to take advantage of them while I have the opportunity. This past week we discovered an Italian Market which also carries imported products from Spain! It was perfect since Tim was planning on making an authentic Spanish meal. The salad he made turned out great thanks to the imported products we stumbled across.
an inexpensive meal
Our first week back has been busy. We seem to have something going on each day and each night. Our first weekday back we treated ourselves to a yummy meal... at Costco! Have you tried the pizza, polish dogs, mocha freeze or ice cream bars? They are all tasty and inexpensive. Our good friends Sandra and Brock joined us!
To blog or not to?
So all week I have been debating wether to make my blog public v. private or to even have a blog at all. I have enjoyed finding many old friends, reading about friends lifes, getting recipes and staying in touch with everyone. I am not sure what I am going to do???

Shrimp Tacos and Fresh Guacomole
I made the most delicious dinner last night! I thought I would share the recipe with anyone who might be interested...
FRESH GUACOMOLE
ripe avocado mashed (# of avo's depends on number of peeps eating)
sourcream about two spoonfulls
fresh cilantro chopped
fresh onion chopped
salsa two spoonfulls (I used pace picante)
mix n mash it all together, then squeeze fresh lime juice into it and mix
SHRIMP TACOS
precooked shrimp no peel and rip off tails
melt butter in pan on stove top, add garlic and lemon juice
dump shrimp in pan, mix all the goods and cook for about 7 minutes
warm tortillas(corn) on stove top burner
put shirmp on top of toritllas then add fresh cilantro, fresh onion, squeeze lime on top and add fresh Guacomole
Serve with black beans and Mango (fresh lime juice on the mango is delicious).
If you have any questions of suggestions let me know...
ENJOY!
We made it back!!!
After a long ten hour drive solo (we each had our own vehicles to drive back) we have arrived! The drive actually was not too bad, the temperature ranged any where from 62 degrees to 104 degrees with sunny skies and thunder n lighting. We drove through a lightning storm which was pretty sweet, a very scary rain storm - I could not even see out my window the drops were so enormous, and lots n lots n lots of dessert.
As soon as we arrived backon Friday evening our friends were coming and coming to say hello! We were very thrilled to have them pop in for a visit. We dined at Costa Vida two hours after arriving home with Jo, the workers all remembered us cause we go there soooo often. Jo was a huge help, immediatly unpacking boxes as Tim brought them up, she hung an entire large box of clothing!! Brock and Sandra came over to hang out for a little while and catch up!
Saturday morning I awoke at 6 AM to some very interesting sounds, similar to what I would imagine a BOMB to sound like. I walked over to the family room/dining room/game room/office and looked out the window (which has a killer view of the city) and saw what I thought was a very large fire!! I woke Tim and as it turns out it was not a fire! Just a building being demoed down town and what I thought was smoke was just an ENORMOUS amount of dust! Why must they Demo a building at 6 am on Saturday??? Well needless to say I was awake so I began cleaning, unpacking and organizing our apartment. I had no idea it would take me until 6 pm!! The place is feeling more like home now. I did get to enjoy a healthy lunch with Tracey, he now lives right across the street from us! We spent saturday night with Christian and Matt eating at Iggys, if you are ever in town they have this yummy yummy sauce you dip french bread into, I just can not get enough of it, I reccomend this joint!
Church was great. Many of the couples we knew have moved out, kinda sad but we will meet new people which will be exciting. The old foggies really missed us and tons of people were thrilled to have us back, they each let us know we were missed. It was nice to know we were missed, I am looking forward to getting to know more peeps in the ward. It will be interesting to see what our callings will be???? Sunday we saw many more friends in North Salt Lake. We are doing well. Besides the fact that I am already sick of the Utards, my car was keyed by some A**hole (probably cause Utah sucks, they have no appreciation for nice cars, they all drive the crappiest cars my eyes have ever seen its horrid, and we drive the nicest cars in the complex) not to brag I am just being honest. Oh well life goes on. Now I am on the search for a job!

He Could Not Resist...
Timmy was itching to get the new iPhone. For all of you who know him he is a huge apple fan! The ladies downstairs at the Apple store know him by name. Here he is at the Daisy shoppe sporting the new toys (the deal was if I went to Apple with him he had to come to the daisy shoppe with me). PS the daisy shoppe is having a sale!!!

So Long, Farewell....
Mom and Dad threw us a going away BBQ! We had a fun time being with our family and friends. We sure are going to miss seeing them often. Mom and I made salads n appetizers n dessert, Timmy and Bria made the patties, and Timmy and Joe BBQ'd them up! After a fun filled summer we said our good bye's and look forward to the day move back to the ocean! Until then we will be loving married life in the dreadful state of Utah.
Date-O-Rama
So for the past 8 months I have been wanting to set my cousing Lucas up with a girl, but not just any girl, an exceptionally great girl. I had the perfect girl in mind for him but at the time the timing was not ready. Well ... the timing is right! We felt a double date would be alot of fun so we headed to the Spectrum with Lucas and Emily. The night was fun and the two hit it off very well!!! Too bad that will be our only double date for a long while...
One last Hoorah!
We sure feel blessed to have enjoyed the ocean all summer long. The entire time summer the weather was perfect, the only hot spell occured during our last week (and it was nothing compared to last summers blazin triple digits!) and we spent each day at the beach. We sure will miss this spot! The waves were fun on our last day and the dolphins were in full effect playing in front of us for a long period. The water was clear as ever, I saw plenty of fish, seashells and seaweed. Tim surfed his longboard, shortboard and skimmed, all in all it was fabulous!

another great day!
I know am lagging on blogging this week, I have been a bit busy and have not had time to post photos or take much photos. We are attempting to pack in as much fun and good bye's as possible so our days are long and jam packed, but fun too! Thursday after working we headed down the hill to have some fun in the warm sun. Joe and Timmy surfed, swam and skimmed while read a funny book and people watched. The fun carry on with Joe and Britt, we ate pizza and walked around the Spectrum shopping... great finds at the Urban sale. We ended the night with plenty of sweets from Rocky Mountain!
