book worm

I'm searching for some new books to begin reading. I love reading to relax my mind after an intense day of work.  I enjoy books that are not too serious, but interesting, enlightening, fun, happy, sad, romantic, silly, religious, and something I can relate to. If you read this post and have a book to recommend please leave me a note with the name and/or author. I look forward to finding some new books, Thanks!

  3. I love historical fiction. Give these 2 series a go:

The first being an easy read, though there are a TON of volumes. They are the Children of the Promise books by Dean Hughes. The first novel is called Rumors of War. Very easy, but well done World War II books.

The other is a series by Sharon Kay Penman set in 13th century England. First book is called Here Be Dragons. This one is a harder read, but very good. Sharon Kay Penman is an amazing historical fiction author.

    Have fun!

  4. The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls is really good. It is a true story, a really easy read, and you'll be counting your blessings for the life you've lived after reading it.

I also love the book The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman. I recommend it to anyone who wants a good book to read. You will learn a lot about yourself and everyone around you (especially Tim)...Even Mike read it and got hooked!

Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom another true story about a guy who spent his Tuesday afternoons with an ill elderly friend.

One Tattered Angel by Blaine M
Yorgeson-another true story about a family who adopts a baby with hydrocephaly.

Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech-coming of age book.

The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd-another coming of age book.

The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is a good childrens lit book (so is Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis and Holes by Louis Sachar)

of course, the Twilight series is great and really popular right now.

On my list to read soon is... The Kite Runner
    The DaVinci Code

Hope you find some good ones to recommend to us when you finish-I'm always looking for good books to read too.
