First day of SUMMER!

LOVE this place.

It is officially summer! I absolutely love this season, the blue skies, clear water, hot summer nights, bbq's, fireworks, beach days. What could be better?
We kicked off the first day of summer at the bay with many friends. The weather was amazing, it must have been 94 degrees on the sand, the water was clear and blue, lots of seashells, and hot sunny skies. The water was warm, I found myself enjoying playing around in the whitewash and walking down the beach. Brian and Tim enjoyed surfing the big waves, while Russ, Gregg, Peter, Ben and Steve enjoyed swimming, body surfing, and boogie boarding. The girls, Jules, Sadie, Cara, Jaymie, Nic and Lauren enjoyed chit chatting and reading gossip mags. I am looking forward to spending every Saturday and the beach with good friends!

Scottsdale Arizona

I had a few meetings to attend in Scottsdale. While there I was able to meet up with Jeremy and Camille. It turns out they lived on the golf course of the resort I stayed at. Camille and I enjoyed laying out at the pool a couple times. The more I get to know her I just adore her! She is a great match for Jeremy and we really miss them. We hope they can move here someday! Jeremy is a good friend and example to Tim. We are so happy for the two of them!
Arizona was a bit warm... 108 degrees, but I did not mind the warm weather. I loved wearing dresses at night. The trip was mostly business but a couple nights I got to enjoy the shopping and dining next to the hotel. It was fun to get away.

We are really enjoying our new BBQ and our new home.  I absolutely love having friends and family over for BBQ's and treats.   Timmy is a stellar chef on the BBQ, I love the fish he makes!  Every week and weekend since we have had the BBQ we have had people over and I am LOVING it!

Our first BBQ meal on our new patio furniture

Decorating our new abode has been a lot of fun. Tim understands that I enjoy doing this so he lets me pick out all the colors and all the cute furniture. Thank goodness the newly painted walls look great and he likes the fun colors.  I would love to decorate homes and shop of unique furniture. I have not taken photos of all of our new purchases but here are a couple...

Us

Holly  came to town for a short weekend visit. We were able to meet up with here during our moving for a yummy lunch visit. Whenever she comes to town we always go to Javiers! Since the Laguna location has closed down and moved north we had the opportunity to finally check out the new Javiers in Newport Coast.  The decor is amazing, I am not sure what I enjoyed the most ... the food, the fans or the lanterns. I sure would love to decorate a huge home and a cozy patio! The best would be decorating all sorts of random homes with someone else's cash. Although we only spent a couple hours with Holly we enjoyed the visit. We miss you Holly come back soon.

We are back...

You may have wondered where we have been?  The past month has been non stop busy, flying by extremely fast.  I have been working the night shift for the past three weeks, which totally throws my entire body and life off.  I am continuously exhausted.  I had a major color deadline at work where I colored about 60 shoes and materialized half of those.
We have been packing and unpacking.  Buying our first home and moving, all very unexpectedly and faster than we could have ever imagined.  We made the decision to buy in all of one day and moved in 3 weeks later to our new abode.  Thank fully my sister has come over to help unpack the kitchen and organize the tons of dishes and pots n pans we have.  It has been so fun opening boxes, it is like we just got married all over again, seeing all the great gifts we received from our wedding that have never been used!  So excited to BBQ, make fresh juice and homemade ice cream.
When I am not working and not unpacking I have been shopping like crazy for furniture. I love decorating! Still looking for a few more items for the house, if anyone wants to shop with me let me know.
We love visitors, so stop by anytime!

this is me...

Some of you may have been wondering why it looks like our life has slowed and we are not doing something everyday and everynight?  Well it's official, I got a job, I am fully employed, and totally enjoying it. I am a Product Marketing Coordinator of an International shoe company for two of their lines. You may wonder what I do? So far, I have looked at lots of shoe samples, had an all night video conference with Asia and Europe, reviewed shoe samples, named shoes for upcoming collections, researched via Internet sites and magazines, and small projects here and there. In the short time I have been working with shoes I am already wanting to design shoes, it is just so fun to come up with creative ideas. I showed up to work the first day and could not even locate my desk because it was covered from floor to about six feet high with shoes, shoes and more shoes! No worries because we all know how anal I am about organizing and cleaning so I got right to it. Although I have been busy working we still head out almost every night to dinner, the  beach, or of course Yogurtland with friends ( I just have not been photoging all the outings).
p.s. It looks like there will be a sample sale within the next few months so I will let you know details if you are interested.

Jake the snake

The partying was non-stop last weekend. Sunday we celebrated Izzy's First Birthday, Dad's Birthday and Bria's Birthday. Izzy's party was a big Italian feast with lots of yummy homemade dishes. We had a fun time watching all the children interact with one another and jump in the bounce house. I really enjoy seeing how much the little ones grow and change over such a short period of time! Jake is such a little crack up, he calls him mom Katie instead of Mom and he is only two. The cake was adorable but Izzy sure was not enjoying it! She did not understand what was going on and she absolutely hates getting dirty so she would not even touch the thing.

We left party early to head straight to another double birthday celebration at my parents house. Dad grilled up some Fish on the BBQ and we enjoyed the evening with my family. Bria is almost an adult, its pretty crazy how fast those past 15 years have gone by.  She is taller than me and just a little bigger than me, I can hardly believe she is so grown up. We are absolutely loving the amount of time we are able to spend with my family and all of our friends. I could not be happier to be back home!
